NNLC provides English as a Second Language, Adult Basic Skills, and GED preparatory instruction for adults, 18 years of age and over, who lack a high school diploma or GED or essential basic skills to function successfully in the workplace.

Coming from south Reno or Sparks

Take Highway 395 north to Oddie Blvd. exit; on Oddie Blvd. go west to Sutro Street; at the Oddie/Wells/Sutro intersection go north (right turn) on Sutro Street one block to Wedekind Road; go West (left turn) on Wedekind – NNLC is on left at end of first block.

Coming from downtown Reno

Take Wells Avenue north to Oddie Blvd./Wells/Sutro intersection (just past Reno Livestock Events Center); go north (left turn) on Sutro Street one block to Wedekind Road; go West (left turn) on Wedekind – NNLC is on left at end of first block.

Coming from west Reno or Verdi

Take I-80 east to Wells Avenue exit; on Wells Avenue go north to Oddie Blvd./Wells/Sutro instersection (just past Reno Livestock Events Center); go north (left turn) on Sutro Street one block to Wedekind Road; go West (left turn) on Wedekind – NNLC is on left at end of first block.

Introduction to English "off-site" classes are held at various locations in the community throughout the year in collaboration with community partners. When classes at NNLC’s Adult Learning Center are not available, NNLC staff will make every attempt to place a new student in an off-site class at a location that is convenient for them.
